Fedora Operating System
So i found this site yesterday, and despite its lack of design (imo), and the bad structure of the site (it was a real pain to find a place to contact the webmaster), i found it to be a good incentive to spread open source in my country. And so I started to check what they provide, and i found that fedora is still being named as fedora core....

I was wondering if these guys never heard of the merge of core and extras repositories, and if they did, why are they still naming the operating system as fedora core?... i think that when fedora 7 was released they made it very clear that it's name was fedora and not fedora core, so im starting to think this is a marketing issue as the product is not being promoted by its real name.

Another disturbing thing is that the guys from www.cosaslibres.com are telling people that fedora is the successor of Red Hat Linux, and thats how they are promoting fedora, which happens to be a lie in terms that Red Hat still has its own operating system and it hasn't end it's production, and fedora is a separate project promoting the use of FOSS which happen to be the base for Red Hat Linux.

In my opinion this is an information problem and i might have some theories that might explain the reason why this is happening, but thats for another post.
